Hope Allied Health Services is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to lead and support the delivery of our paediatric occupational therapy services. You will provide therapy services from our Blacktown clinic, with opportunities for mobile therapy and telehealth service delivery where appropriate.

About the Role

As a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will assess and support children with developmental, neurological, sensory, motor, behavioural, and functional needs. You will manage a paediatric caseload, provide high-quality assessment and intervention, develop tailored therapy plans, and work closely with families, schools, carers, and other professionals to achieve meaningful outcomes.

This role also provides the opportunity to mentor junior clinicians, including Allied Health Assistants and Level 1 Occupational Therapists, supporting their clinical development and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat children with developmental, neurological, sensory, motor, physical, and functional needs.
• Provide occupational therapy services to paediatric clients with complex needs requiring advanced clinical reasoning and independent professional judgement.
• Manage a paediatric caseload efficiently and professionally.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised intervention plans.
• Deliver therapy in-clinic, in the community, and via telehealth where appropriate.
• Develop meaningful therapy goals in collaboration with children, families, carers, schools, and other professionals.
• Support children with developmental, behavioural, sensory processing, motor coordination, and functional participation needs.
• Prepare clinical documentation, progress notes, therapy plans, and reports.
• Mentor junior therapists and Allied Health Assistants, providing guidance, supervision, and clinical support.
• Create practical client resources, therapy tools, and educational materials to support progress, independence, and quality of life.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture.

About You

We are looking for a confident and caring clinician who enjoys working with children and families and is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based paediatric occupational therapy.

You will need:

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist.
• Strong knowledge of paediatric conditions, developmental needs, and occupational therapy interventions.
• Experience developing and implementing effective therapy programs for children.
• Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and caseload management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively with children, families, carers, schools, and other professionals.
• A passion for innovation, continuous learning, and improving therapy outcomes.
