Job Description:
As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Hope Allied Health Services, you will provide vital therapy services in our Blacktown Clinic (mobile & telehealth therapy delivery is also available)
• Assessing the functional needs of children with a variety of developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges.
• Developing and implementing therapeutic interventions to aid in the development of skills necessary for children to thrive in their daily activities.
• Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create holistic and effective care plans.
• Documenting therapy sessions and tracking the progress of each child.
• Engaging in play-based therapy and using creative methods to facilitate children’s participation and progress.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree Majoring in Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA certification (OT)
• Special interest in paediatric therapy and developmental disabilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with children and families.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist to lead our paediatric occupational therapy services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in paediatric care and a passion for improving the developmental outcomes of children with various conditions. As a Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Hope Allied Health Services, you will provide vital therapy services in our Blacktown Clinic (mobile & telehealth therapy delivery is also available).

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat children with developmental, neurological, and physical disorders.
• Provide occupational therapy services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills and exercise independent professional judgment.
• Provide proficient caseload management for children attending the service. This encompasses assessment, treatment plan development, treatment implementation, treatment evaluation and discharge planning.
• Develop innovative and personalized intervention plans to promote optimal functioning and independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
• Mentor junior therapists (AHA’s & Level 1 & Ots), providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Create resources for your clients that facilitate recovery, enhance functionality, and improve the quality of life for individuals. These resources can be varied and are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client, ranging from educational materials to therapeutic tools.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical documentation and reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
• AHPRA Registration.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in paediatric occupational therapy, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Advanced certification in paediatric occupational therapy is preferred.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful therapeutic programs for children.
Skills:
• Expert knowledge of paediatric disorders and occupational therapy interventions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
